Petrol Tank Paint Templates for the US Model

The links below are to two GIF images that describe templates to allow you to re-create the flashes on the petrol tank for your 1973 Triumph Trident T150V, US Market Model.

These templates were created from an original tank. Due to the fact that the tanks were hand painted you may find that these templates do not match up exactly to your own original tank. There were also slight variations on the tank we used - the left hand flash was slightly thinner at some points than the right hand flash. This is to be expected from a hand-painted tank.
However, if you believe you have an original tank that varies considerably from these templates please contact us and let us know so we can research the differences.

Template 1: This describes a template that you wil need to create yourself. It will establish the rearmost starting point of the flashes.

Template 2: You need to print this template at 72 dots per inch (dpi). Printing it from your browser probably won't work (especially when using MS Internet Explorer). This template provides the flashes as they curl around into the tank badges.

For 1973 the tank colour is black, the "fill" colour for the flashes is red.
The pinstripes are gold, at 1/8" wide. They are directly centered over the lines that define the flashes.
